Terms of Service
Last updated: March 21, 2026
1. The service
Recouply ("we", "us") provides a payment recovery service that retries failed Stripe payments and sends recovery emails to your customers. By creating an account, you agree to these terms.
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to enter into this agreement on behalf of your business.
3. Acceptable use
You may only use Recouply to recover legitimate failed payments from your own customers. You may not use the service to send unsolicited emails, harass customers, or in any way that violates applicable law or Stripe's terms of service.
We reserve the right to suspend accounts that abuse the service.
4. Billing
Recouply is billed monthly in advance. Your subscription renews automatically unless cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your settings page — access continues until the end of your current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial months.
Free trials (7 days standard, 30 days for waitlist members) do not require a credit card upfront. You will be charged at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before it ends.
5. Your data
You retain ownership of your data and your customers' data. By using Recouply, you grant us permission to process that data solely to provide the recovery service. We do not sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for details.
6. Stripe API key
You are responsible for the Stripe Restricted API key you provide. Ensure the key has only the permissions required by Recouply. Do not provide a key with broader permissions than necessary. We store your key encrypted and never share it with third parties.
7. Uptime and reliability
We aim to keep Recouply running reliably, but we do not guarantee 100% uptime. We are not liable for losses resulting from service interruptions, missed retries, or undelivered emails.
8. Limitation of liability
Recouply's liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding any claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost revenue.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you by email before significant changes take effect. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
